TABLE.RELATED_TABLES_GET Function

Syntax

OutputString as C = Related_Tables_Get([C tablename])

Arguments

tablename

The name of a table.

Description

Return the tables in a set that can be represented with a lookup expression to the table.

Discussion

The TABLE.RELATED_TABLES_GET() method returns a list of the tables in a set that can represented with a lookup expression to the table. It indicates what tables are linked to a particular table in a set in such a way that for a given record in the reference table, there is only ONE matching related record.

Example

The following examples relate to the AlphaSports database. For a given record in "invoice_items" there is one (and only one linked record) in the listed tables.

dim s as P
s = set.open_session("invoice.set")
? s.invoice_items.related_tables_get("invoice_items")
= Invoice_Items
product
vendor
Invoice_Header
Customer
